Everyone is welcome, whether it is to stop in for a Sunday, or whether you are looking for a church home, we will be glad to see you! First Pres is open to anyone who wants to worship the Lord, explore what it means to follow Jesus, or is just longing to make a connection with other humans.
We are small but mighty! Mighty friendly and mighty in faith. At First Pres, we believe that some of the greatest growth and healing can happen in authentic Christian community. Our purpose is to be an inter-generational community that follows Jesus, and we hope to be a community that always welcomes the outsider! Our mission is to be a community that goes out into the world and shines the light of Christ, to be a light in the darkness.
Our worship services are led by our Pastor and our Worship Team; each Sunday we read Scripture, sing and pray together and hear the Word of God. Our music is a wonderful blend of traditional hymns accompanied by our beautiful organ and grand piano, as well as contemporary music with our worship band. We have an amazingly talented Worship Leader and Choir Director, with an equally talented choir and worship band! We serve Communion on the first Sunday of every month together as the family of Christ. Our children have an opportunity to grow in their own way with our "Kids for Christ" program. After worship, everyone is welcome to gather to partake of coffee, treats and warm fellowship.
We want you to be comfortable during worship and we truly mean “come as you are.” Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we welcome you. There is no dress code and we welcome all ages in worship. Our Sanctuary is large and open; you are free to sit wherever is best for you. We have audio/visual aids for those who need hearing assistance and slides on a large screen to assist with the song lyrics and Scripture readings.
